Molly McDrew's Space Adventure can be enjoyed at home or school as an adventure story about a brother and sister who travel across the solar system on their homemade space-travelling magic blanket. It contains illustrations of the planets in our solar system and describes their different features.

This book can also be used as a teaching resource to teach different elements of writing in KS1. Nouns, adjectives, verbs and adverbs pop out of selected pages so children can see how they can be used within a text.

At the back of the book are teaching ideas for writing and drama. If you go to our resources page, you will find a detailed  five day English plan that can be used in a Year 1, Year 2 or mixed Year 1/2 class.
